Mayers Eye Solutions offers the following professional services. Please call us or schedule an appointment online today.
Comprehensive eye exams for ALL ages
A comprehensive eye examination starts with a thorough case history or review of your current vision problems, current medications, overall body and ocular health conditions, and blood pressure screening. Once your health is reviewed Dr. Mayers will begin to check your visual status. This includes peripheral vision, pupil reflex to light and near targets, eye muscle strength tests for near and distant targets, nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and other prescription abnormalities that can cause visual discomfort. Once the visual status of your eyes is determined, Dr. Mayers will then perform a thorough eye check for sight-threatening problems like glaucoma, cataracts and diabetic retinopathy, to name a few. Each patient encounter is different and Dr. Mayers will concentrate each examination towards your concerns!

Treatment for stress-related visual problems including blurred vision, headaches or computer vision syndrome
Struggling with fatigued eyes, eye strain, or other bothersome visual symptoms? It could be a stress- or computer-related vision problem. The first step in prevention and treatment of such problems would be to schedule an appointment to diagnose the issue.
Treatment for learning-related vision problems including visual difficulties related to ADD/ADHD and reading
Vision and sensorimotor deficits can cause eyestrain, headaches, blurred or double vision, loss of place while reading, and difficulty maintaining attention on close work. Even intelligent, highly motivated children can be severely handicapped by these problems in the academic environment. Correcting these deficits allows affected children to benefit from academic remediation and to achieve their full potential in the classroom.
Treatment for Amblyopia (lazy eye) and Strabismus (eye turn)
The earlier amblyopia or strabismus are diagnosed, the better the chances are of correcting the problem. Treatment should ideally begin before a child's vision has fully devoped, around 8 or 9 years old. Schedule an appointment today.
